The Band

From left to right:
Connor Trueman, Jeremy Langner, Ingrid Parker, Joel Mohr, Theo Janke, Evan Curtis

Connor Trueman (Lead Vocals)
Connor is really excited to be back with the band for the “Hands On” youth gathering.  Connor lives in Saskatoon with her spouse Jason and their Christmas Cactus (the only plant to last more than a week after entering their home).  Connor has been singing in worship settings for ten years and recently finished a program at the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Saskatoon.  Connor is excited to sing along with the awesome crowd of Anglican and Lutheran youth during the gathering in London.

Jeremy Langner (Keyboard)
Hey, I’m Jeremy from the ‘Peg. I played bass in Whitehorse and I’m ultra excited to be keyboarding at Hands On! In my free time, I’m a renewable energy engineer. I’m also a huge fan of wilderness, the Beatles, and old man hats. Hope you enjoy the music at Hands On!

Ingrid Parker (Harmony Vocals)
This blond haired and blue eyed Norwegian likes the simple things in life like a good cup of coffee in the early morning, the mandolin, the Hammond organ and of course, the LBW. Ingrid currently lives in the city of Edmonton, where she was born and raised, as well as she works at Mulhurst Lutheran Camp on Pigeon Lake, AB during the summer months. When she is not shaping the minds of the youth of tomorrow as a Music and English teacher, she enjoys traveling, writing music, cracking a joke or two and then hilariously laughing at the joke. Her favorite colour is purple but she does not discriminate against all the others.

Joel Mohr (Percussion)
Straight from Greater Vancouver and the Olympics, Joel is pumped to be joining the Hands On band.  Joel’s been playing drums for at least 4 days now and is looking forward to wearing the socks he just finished knitting.  When not working at his golf course, Joel can often be found at the city fire hall or the gym.  He is soon headed south for the 89th annual Tortoise Races in the Galapagos before going for a long walk on the beach with his dog Barky.

Theo Janke (Guitar)
Theo Janke currently resides in the village of Starbuck, Manitoba.  After graduating from the University of Manitoba in June of 2010 with a degree in electrical engineering, Theo is currently employed at an industrial controls company.  Playing guitar for most of his life, Theo has performed with youth worship bands at Trinity Lutheran Church in Starbuck, as well as with MNO Synod’s youth and campus ministry band, Prairie Fire.  Theo looks forward to creating some great music for everyone to sing and dance along with at Hands On.

Evan Curtis (Bass)
On top of being brilliant, insightful, and strikingly good looking, I have decided to get my hands dirty, commute in from Winnipeg, Manitoba, and play some greasy, funky bass lines in London this year. I am looking forward to sharing this experience with everybody, and hopefully we can make it that much more amazing for each other. By the way, we are having trouble deciding where to order pizza from as I write this, as a quick sidenote from the band. Let’s just have some fun singing together!
