Volunteers

How to Volunteer
If you’re not attending Hands On as a participant or a Home Team Leader, you might be interested in joining as a volunteer. Many hands are required to help the gathering run smoothly, and it’s a lot of fun!

Some of the areas where we will need volunteers include:

-Hospitality
-Information Desk
-Late Night Spots
-Logistics
-Nursing/Medical
-Pastoral Care
-Registration
-Security
-Special Event
-Technical Support
-Transportation
-Worship

Volunteer Criteria
To be a Hands On volunteer, you must:
-    Be a minimum of 18 years old at the time of the gathering.
-    Provide the Canadian Lutheran Anglican Youth Gathering (CLAY) with the results of a Police Record Check, valid at the time of the gathering, if volunteering for Security, Nursing or Pastoral Care.
-    Provide, at your own expense, meals, accommodation and travel, before, during and after the gathering. Light meal/snack will be provided during volunteer shifts.
-    Commit to at least one 4 hour volunteer shift before, during or after the gathering.
-    Agree to adhere to guidelines contained in the ELCIC Policy to Protect Children, Youth and Other Vulnerable People and the Diocese of Huron’s Safe Church Policy.

*Participation as a volunteer does not provide full access to Hands On. Volunteers will have access while working on assigned shifts only.
